Info HLSU Bachelor thesis and research projects

Dear Members, Ladies and Gentlemen

In recent months we have had constructive dialogues with the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Based on these discussions, we are currently looking into the possibilities of further expanding our cooperation with the Institute for Energy and Building Technology.

The Institute has outstanding competencies in the areas of:

  • Sustainability: material, ecology, recyclability and more
  • Energy efficiency and ventilation effectiveness
  • Tightness measurements
  • Air quality measurements and monitoring (also for surfaces)
  • Pressure and flow rate control
  • Flow visualisation
  • Comfort measurements
  • Filter technology and many more

Our overriding goal is to make cleanroom technology more attractive at university level and to actively promote it. In this context, we would like to present two exciting ways in which you, as a member, can contribute to this:

Bachelor thesis: Submit an idea sketch (see enclosure) for a potential thesis by 3 November 2023. Your idea should be presented on a maximum of two A4 pages - a small effort with considerable potential. There is a chance that two students will work on your proposed question. The selection of projects is based on various criteria. As an external client, a remuneration of CHF 1'000.00 per student is foreseen.

Research projects: You can submit an application for a research project as part of an Innoscheck. Various other funding opportunities are available, such as through Innosuisse (Switzerland-wide), Eurostars (Europe-wide) or BFE/BAFU. If you have specific questions in your work that you would like to have addressed by a renowned university, the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts offers you this cooperation.

Take advantage of this unique opportunity! Marie-Teres Moser will be happy to answer any questions or clarifications you may have. You can reach her at: marie-teres.moser@hslu.ch.
